Our one-day Absheron and Gobustan tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Baku, preparing you for an adventure through Azerbaijan's fiery past and present. The first leg of our journey takes us to the Absheron Peninsula, where the Ateshgah Temple awaits. This temple, known as "the place of fire" in Azerbaijani, was built in the village of Surakhani between the 17th and 18th centuries as a sanctuary for fire worshippers. The site's historical and spiritual significance provide insight into ancient practices that celebrated the natural phenomenon of fire.

Continue to Yanardag, also known as "the burning mountain." This natural wonder, where flames dance continuously on its slopes due to underground natural gas, has captivated visitors for centuries, evoking Azerbaijan's nickname "The Land of Fire."

Your day tour from Baku will then take you to the Gobustan National Reserve, an archaeological treasure trove home to the outdoor Petroglyph Museum. We explore the ancient cave drawings etched into the rocky massif during the Stone Age. These petroglyphs reflect the Azerbaijani people's rich history and enduring spirit.

The day ends on a plateau in Gobustan, known for its mud volcanoes. Azerbaijan has over half of the world's mud volcanoes, with approximately 300 dotting the landscape. This visit offers a unique opportunity to view the geological wonders contributing to the country's natural heritage.

After a day of discovery and awe, we'll return to Baku and drop you off at your hotel. This concludes your one-day Absheron and Gobustan tour.
