Car Rental:

Driving License

For the initial year following your arrival, you’re authorized to drive in Georgia with a driving license written in either the Cyrillic or Latin alphabet. Throughout this initial year or less, the possession of an international driving license is unnecessary.

Age Restriction

You must meet the requirements of being at least 21 years of age and having held a valid driving license for a minimum duration of 1 year to be eligible for car rental. Fulfilling these prerequisites automatically enrolls you for insurance coverage, subject to the driving conditions described below. Any additional drivers are also covered under the same terms as the primary driver, provided that they meet all the requirements and  operate the vehicle in the presence of the primary driver.

Insurance Policy

Comprehensive vehicle insurance covers various scenarios:

No excess is applied in the event of accidents, theft, or other damages.

The insurance does not cover the damages incurred to wheels, undercarriage or interior of the vehicle.

In the event of an insured incident, immediate notification to the rental agent is mandatory. Failure to comply will nullify the issued insurance and render the renter (customer) fully liable.

Driver must be at least 21 years old and must have at least 1 year of driving experience in order for insurance to cover the damages.

Driving Restrictions

Rental cars are restricted to paved public roads. Driving on designated routes, including those through certain passes and regions, is strictly prohibited due to hazardous road conditions and renders insurance void.

The restricted areas where the customer must not drive are: Juta (near Kazbegi), Truso, Ushguli, Tusheti, Goderdzi pass (road between Batumi and Akhaltsikhe) and any areas accessible by off-road driving.

Cross-Border Travel

Crossing international borders with the rental car is strictly prohibited.

Contact Information Requirement

A valid contact number with the correct country code must be provided at the time of booking and remain accessible throughout the rental period.

Financial Responsibilities

Fines, fuel, and parking fees are the sole responsibility of the renter (customer).

Changing A Booking

You have the flexibility to modify or adjust your booking up to 24 hours before the agreed-upon start of your rental period, free of charge. Any payments made towards the rental will be promptly refunded.

Cancelling A Booking

Cancellation of your booking is permissible up to 24 hours prior to the commencement of the rental period, without any additional fees or charges. Payments made towards the rental will be fully refunded, excluding any bank fees. Changes or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond your control, such as flight delays or cancellations, are entirely refundable without incurring additional charges. Please note: Card payments will be refunded within 2 weeks of cancellation without any added charges.

Deposits /Prepayments

No upfront payment is necessitated to reserve your vehicle. Rest assured, your booking comes with a 100% guarantee of vehicle availability upon your arrival. Simply click on the activation link in the confirmation email to finalize your booking.

Payment

Full payment for the vehicle rental must be settled on the first day of the rental period, in cash or by a bank transfer.

Rental Prices Include

Rental Period

The minimum chargeable rental period spans 24 hours. This signifies that even if you require a vehicle for just a few hours, you will incur charges equivalent to a full day’s rental. For instance, should you opt to rent a car from Monday morning until Tuesday afternoon, you will be billed for a total of two full days.

Fuel Policy

Fuel policy is same-to-same. Upon return, the rental car must be refilled to the same fuel level as when picked up. Any deficit will be charged at the prevailing rates. Surplus fuel will not be reimbursed.

Cleaning responsibility

If the car is returned excessively dirty, hindering the assessment of its condition pre- and post-rental, the cost of cleaning will be borne by the customer.

Pet Policy

Small pets are permitted in rented cars but must be always confined to their carriers.

It is strictly forbidden to transport animals without informing the Lessor (the rental company). In case if the animals are transported via rental car, the car must be thoroughly cleaned before drop-off, or a cleaning fee of GEL 200 must be paid during the drop-off.

Additional Information

Please note that tires damaged during off-road driving are not considered accidental damage covered by insurance. The cost of off-road tire damage varies but typically amounts to approximately 95 EUR.

Any driver aged 21 years and above with at least 1 year of driving experience is automatically insured under the same terms as the primary renter, but only in cases where that they will provide photos of their driving licenses and passports to the Rental Company and the primary renter must be present in the vehicle.

Prices

Published prices are reflective of costs at the time of publication. We retain the right to adjust published prices at any time prior to finalizing your booking. Should the Government introduce new taxes, escalate existing taxes, or witness fluctuations in currency or fuel charges, we reserve the right to modify the cost of your holiday accordingly. Any adjustments will be promptly communicated to you. Discounts, including the Return Customer Discount, cannot be combined with other promotional prices or discounts; the greater discount will always apply.

Payments

A non-refundable deposit of 20%, amounting to a minimum of US$300, must be remitted and confirmed by the Company to establish a binding contract. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will invoice you for the remaining balance of the tour cost. This balance must be settled no less than 45 days prior to the tour commencement date (or by a mutually agreed alternative date). For bookings made within 45 days of departure, the full tour cost is due immediately, unless alternative arrangements are made with the Company. Failure to settle your balance by the agreed time may result in the cancellation of your booking or pursuit of any outstanding payments.

Cancellation Policy

Payment for the tour constitutes a fundamental component of our income and contributes to overall expenses including equipment, operational costs, staffing, and administration. As the majority of costs are incurred prior to tour commencement, cancellation charges are necessary to offset these expenses.

Deposits are non-refundable. Should you choose to cancel your booking, the following cancellation charges will apply:

Tailor-made tours may be subject to alternative cancellation terms, communicated upon booking.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by the primary booking contact via email to your designated Company representative, with a copy to [email protected].

Once the tour has commenced, no refunds will be issued for any unused portion or aspect of the tour or services. Any alterations to the tour or early departures are at your own expense and liability and must be communicated in writing to the tour operator.

Cancellation by the Company

We reserve the right to cancel the contract for any reason prior to receipt of full trip payment. In such instances, we will issue a full refund of any payments made. After full payment, the contract will only be cancelled in unavoidable circumstances beyond our control, such as civil unrest, terrorism, natural disasters, or force majeure events. In such cases, we will promptly inform you and offer equivalent services or a full refund, with no additional compensation beyond the total sum received from you.

Alteration of Itineraries

While unlikely, the Company may need to make changes to your tour before or after booking. Most changes will be minor, and we will inform you promptly. We reserve the right to alter the itinerary post-departure if deemed necessary for your benefit, without compensation. Furthermore, no compensation will be provided for tour cancellation or alterations due to force majeure circumstances beyond our control.

Travel Insurance

The Company is not liable for unforeseen circumstances such as flight or train delays, visa issuance issues, closure of tourist attractions, or incidents such as injury, illness, or loss of belongings. Hence, travel insurance is mandatory for all Clients. Each Client must arrange their own insurance with a reputable insurer covering personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation, luggage loss, and tour cancellation or curtailment expenses for the full duration of the tour.

In case of illness, all related expenses are the Client’s responsibility, and the Company shall not be liable for any tour cost refunds.
