Upon your arrival in Baku, you will be warmly greeted at the airport and transferred to the hotel.Â
Once refreshed, you will start your 4-day Azerbaijan tour from Baku city tour. Begin at Martyrs' Lane, offering a panoramic view of the city and a moment to reflect at The Eternal Flame Memorial.
Following this, you will delve into the heart of Baku’s old city. Here, you will be immersed in history at Shirvanshahs Palace, marvel at the ancient Maiden Tower, and explore other key sites like the Juma Mosque, the Double Gates, Bazar Square, and the Caravan Saray. Your evening will be spent strolling through the vibrant Nizami Street, taking in the sights of Fountain Square, the Nizami Ganjavi monument, and the striking architecture of the Heydar Aliyev Center. The final stop for today is Baku Boulevard, a beautiful promenade along the Caspian Sea, where you will visit the National Azeri Carpets Museum. The Baku city tour will end with a drop-off at your hotel.
Your second day of Azerbaijan tour begins with an exciting exploration of the Absheron Peninsula, revealing why Azerbaijan is known as "The Land of Fire." The journey starts with a visit to the Ateshgah Temple in Surakhani village, a fascinating temple of fire-worshippers with roots in the 17th-18th centuries. Next, experience the stunning Yanardag, also known as "the burning mountain," where natural gas flames dance on the hillside for centuries.Â
The adventure continues to the Gobustan National Reserve, where you will explore the ancient petroglyphs at the outdoor Petroglyph Museum. The tour concludes with a visit to the mesmerizing mud volcanoes of Gobustan, a geographical marvel as Azerbaijan hosts over half of the world’s mud volcanoes (around 300). After a day filled with natural wonders, you will return to the comfort of your hotel in Baku.
Your day starts with a scenic drive from Baku to Shamakhi. En route, you will have the chance to explore the Diri Baba Mausoleum in Maraza, a rock-carved wonder from 1402, showcasing Shirvan architecture. Then, visit the ancient Shamakhi Juma Mosque, a testament to Azerbaijan's Islamic heritage since the 8th century. We will also visit the Yeddi Gumbaz mausoleum (Seven Domes), the final resting place of the Shamakhi Khanate's royal family. The journey then takes you to Lahich, a village famous for its exceptional craftsmanship. Wander through its cozy streets, full of workshops offering unique handmade souvenirs. The day concludes with a drive to Baku. Drop off at your hotel.Â
