After some rest, prepare to immerse yourself in the vibrant energy and rich culture of Tbilisi. Begin your 6-day tour in Georgia at Tbilisi's enchanting Holy Trinity Cathedral, a modern marvel with a golden dome. Trace the city's history at Metekhi Church, a 13th-century gem overlooking the river, and reach the Narikala fortress via ropeway, a historical fortification with breathtaking city views. Meander down to Meidan Square, then to the Sulfur Baths in Abanotubani, a testament to Tbilisi's ancient traditions. Explore the Legvtakhevi Canyon and its hidden waterfall and experience Shardeni Street's inviting atmosphere. Our day begins with an exciting journey from Tbilisi to Kazbegi. Our first stop is the Jvari Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on a hill in Mtskheta. This sixth-century marvel overlooks the breathtaking confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers, providing a tranquil and picturesque start to our day. Next, we visit the Ananuri Fortress. This architectural gem consists of two churches with intricate facades, towers, and defense walls. It stands against the backdrop of the Zhinvali reservoir, creating a breathtaking panorama.

As we travel along the Georgian Military Highway towards Kazbegi, we stop at the Gudauri View Point, also known as the Friendship Monument, and the Jvari Overpass Travertine Natural Monument to capture unforgettable photos. The highlight of our adventure is a drive (or hike) to the Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, a spiritual haven nestled against the majestic Mount Kazbek (5033 meters). Rest of your day will be spent at your Kazbegi hotel.

DAY 3: KAZBEGI – GORI – UPLISTSIKHE – BORJOMI

In the morning, head to Gori, a city that bore witness to the early years of Joseph Stalin. The city's main attraction is Stalin's House Museum, which houses his childhood home, various artifacts, personal belongings, and armored train carriage. Have a short photo stop at Gori Fortress.

Continue driving to the stunning Uplistsikhe. This ancient cave town is carved into the rocky banks of the Mtkvari River. Explore its myriad caves, each a testament to past civilizations. The complex played an important role in politics, religion, and culture, as evidenced by the various cave structures, such as the Hall of Queen Tamar and the Theatre cave. The site's religious significance is noticeable in the pre-Christian Temple of Makvliani and Uplistsuli Church. End your exploration of Uplistsikhe with a long tunnel that leads down to the river. As evening falls, drive to Borjomi for the night.

Day 4 of our adventure starts with a trip to Akhaltsikhe, a town known for its rich history and religious diversity. Akhaltsikhe, which means "New Castle" in Georgian, is a cultural melting pot housing Georgian, Armenian, and Catholic churches, along with a synagogue and mosque. Explore the fascinating Rabati Castle, originated in the 9th century. The castle, beautifully renovated in 2012, now captivates us with its intricate architecture, churches, and mosques.

Our journey continues to Vardzia, a breathtaking cave town in Georgia. On the way, take photos at Khertvisi Castle. This fortress, dating from the 10th to 14th centuries, majestically overlooks the confluence of the Paravani and Mtkvari Rivers. Cave town Vardzia is carved into a cliff over 500 meters long, offering breathtaking views from every angle. In this 12th-13th century town, we discover the legacy of King George III and his daughter, King Tamar, as illustrated in the remaining 400 of the original 3000 caves. These caves, which were once bustling with life, now reveal living quarters, tunnels, churches, and wine cellars that echo the majesty of the past. Our day concludes with a scenic drive back to Tbilisi, where we unwind in our hotel.

DAY 5: TELAVI – TSINANDALI – BODBE – SIGHNAGHI – TBILISI
