Upon your arrival in Tbilisi, you will be comfortably transferred to your accommodation. After a brief rest, you will begin your 10-day tour to Georgia with a city tour of Tbilisi. Your journey commences at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, a towering building and one of the world's largest religious structures, with its golden dome visible from nearly every vantage point in the city. Venture next into the historical heart of Tbilisi. The Metekhi Church, perched majestically on a cliff above the Mtkvari River, is a sanctuary dating back to the 13th century with predecessors from the 5th and 6th centuries. Proceed to the ancient Narikala fortress, a 4th-century fortification initially erected for defense. Ascend to the fortress by ropeway, savoring the spectacular panoramas of Tbilisi, and then walk down to Meidan Square. Discover Abanotubani, famous for its historical Sulfur Baths, and stroll through the Legvtakhevi Canyon to uncover a charming waterfall nestled in Old Tbilisi. Continue to Shardeni Street, a neighborhood known for its charming cafes and wine bars. Visit the iconic Sioni Cathedral from the 6th century housing the revered cross of St. Nino. Before returning to your hotel, head towards Freedom Square, passing by notable landmarks such as the Bridge of PeaceAnchiskhati Basilica, and Rezo Gabriadze Theatre's famous clock tower. In the evening of your city tour of Tbilisi, you can enjoy delicious Georgian cuisine along with the Georgian folklore show at the restaurant.

In the morning, drive to the Kakheti region that is famous for its old winemaking traditions. Visit a traditional Qvevri workshop in Vardisubani, run by the Kbilashvili family, where you’ll observe the ancient clay vessel–making process and learn about Georgia’s 8,000-year-old winemaking tradition. Continue to Alaverdi Monastery, which was established by monk Joseph Alaverdeli, who came from Antioch and resided in Alaverdi. The first church in Alaverdi was built in the sixth century. The current Cathedral was built as part of an 11th-century Georgian Orthodox monastery. The monastery is surrounded by fortifications.

Continue to Tsinandali. Visit the house museum of Alexander Chavchavadze, a famous public figure and poet from the nineteenth century. At the time, Georgian nobles were known for their sophisticated European taste, as evidenced by the exquisite English Garden that surrounds the house. The house's wine cellar contains a unique selection of Georgian and European wines. You will be served a glass of Tsinandali white wine as a welcome gift. Drive to Telavi, the largest town of Kakheti. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: TELAVI – GREMI – KHAREBA WINERY – SIGHNAGHI – BODBE – TBILISI

Post-breakfast, drive to the Gremi fortress, a 15th-16th century stronghold now housing a church, a tower palace from the same era, and a museum. Your next destination is Kvareli, where the Khareba Winery awaits, a distinctive wine cellar tunneled into the Caucasus Mountains, offering a wine tour and tasting. Proceed to Sighnaghi, the renowned 'city of love'. The town is encircled by a historical defensive wall with 23 towers; climb the towers and walk along the wall to enjoy breathtaking views of the Alazani Valley. Continue to the Bodbe monastery, a 9th-century nunnery doubling as a tourist attraction. The day concludes with a return drive to Tbilisi for an overnight hotel stay.

After breakfast, head to Kazbegi, stopping at the Jvari monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site dating back to the 6th century, offering a picturesque confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Next, visit the Ananuri Fortress, a magnificent complex set against the backdrop of the Zhinvali reservoir. Proceed along the Georgian Military Highway to Kazbegi, stopping for photographs at the Gudauri View Point, the Friendship Monument, and the Jvari Overpass Travertine Natural Monument. In Stepantsminda, either hike or drive to the Gergeti Holy Trinity Church for awe-inspiring vistas of Mount Kazbek. The day will conclude with an overnight stay in Gudauri.

DAY 5: GUDAURI – GORI – UPLISTSIKHE – KUTAISI

Begin the day by driving to Gori, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. You will visit the Stalin House Museum, which preserves the Soviet leader's childhood home. A brief photo stop at the Gori Fortress. Continue to the Uplistsikhe cave town situated on the Mtkvari River's left bank. This ancient settlement, dating back to the first and second millennia B.C., played a crucial role in regional politics, culture, and religion during the Hellenistic and Late Antique periods. Explore the cave structures within the complex.

Continue your westward journey on the highway, passing through the Rikoti Pass, a geographical marvel that connects Georgia's east and west. Your destination is Kutaisi, an ancient city that is approximately 3500 years old. The city's first mention appears in the Greek mythological tale of the Argonauts. Finish your day with an overnight stay at a local hotel in Kutaisi.

After breakfast, visit the Gelati Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a symbol of Georgia's illustrious "Golden Age". Continue to the awe-inspiring Prometheus Cave, where you will discover a natural wonderland of stalactites and stalagmites. Only six of the cave's 22 halls are open to visitors. Natural Monument extending 1.8 kilometers underground and 40 meters below sea level. Continue your journey to the breathtaking Svaneti region, an area that leaves a lasting impression with a striking contrast of verdant woodlands and majestic, snow-capped mountain peaks. Here, the local defense stone towers (Koshki) rise in harmony with nature, creating a picturesque scene that captures the essence of this unique region. Your day concludes with an overnight stay in Mestia.

Take an exciting morning drive to Upper Svaneti in a 4x4 vehicle. Discover the remote town of Ushguli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, known for its historic Svan towers set against the backdrop of Georgia's highest peak, Snowy Mountain Shkhara. Wander through the village and up to the Lamaria Church, a 10th-century sacred structure. Return to Mestia to delve into the local culture at Margiani's House Museum, where you'll explore an authentic Svan house and tower known as "Margianis Machubi." While in Svaneti, you should try the local cuisine made from local species and full of delicious flavors. Your day ends with another restful night in Mestia.

After breakfast, visit the Svaneti Historical and Ethnography Museum, which houses an array of historical artifacts from the Svaneti region. The collection includes unique icons, engravings, manuscripts, medieval weaponry, and a variety of iron, silver, and copper ornaments. The journey then continues to Batumi, Georgia's vibrant second-largest city, which is located in the scenic Adjara region. You will be transferred to your hotel for the night.

*Optionally, if the weather permits, replace the museum visit with a 4x4 excursion to the scenic Koruldi Lakes, where the breathtaking reflections of the Tetnuldi Mountains in the tranquil waters promise an unforgettable experience (additional fee).

Your morning starts with a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Batumi. This ancient city, mentioned as Batus in literature dating back to the 4th century BC, now combines historical charm with modern allure. Explore Batumi's 7-kilometer boulevard with contemporary architecture, cozy bungalows, café-lounges, restaurants, children's attractions, and artistic modern sculptures. Your walking tour takes you to Europe Square, the enchanting Piazza Square with St. Nicholas Church, Chacha Fountain, 6 May & Nuriegel Lake, Alphabet Tower, the "Ali and Nino" statue, Batumi Port, and Seaside Park. Take a cable car to the stunning viewpoint of Batumi. In the evening, drive or take the train to Tbilisi, where you will spend the night.
